Dear robotics lovers,
The organisers of ELROB 2006 would like to thank all of you for participating in the 1st European Land-Robot Trial 2006 (ELROB 2006) The competition was a great success. There were mor than 20 participants from 5 different European countries, all of them gave an impressive performance for the spectators that came from 19 different countries from all over the europe and rest of the world.
The objective of ELROB was to provide an overview of the European cutting edge technology in the field of UGVs with focus on short-term and high performance realizable robot systems. The goal was achieved, all entries showed innovative aproaches to designing unmanned ground vehicle that is easy to operate and reliable. The ELROB competition was followed by a comprehensive robotics conference which covered all aspects of robot designs from electronics to mechanical devices.
The next Civilian version of ELROB will be the C-ELROB.
It will take place in June 2008 in Munich, Switzerland.
